Level 6 diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (3 years)
Since 2022, our UKCP Accredited Diploma in Integrative and Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling has been available as a 3 year part-time course in the North-East of England, thanks to our partnership with Ellesmere Centre.
The Level 6 course comprises a Core Theory Year and then two further years of advanced training.
The course is delivered by highly qualified and experienced trainers. Nicole Addis (MSc Int Psych) and the training team here at Peel Psychological Consultancy, have been providing counselling, psychotherapy, and training for over two decades.
Our prospectus contains information on the requirements of each qualification in terms of the hours of study, assessment, clinical practice hours, and therapy hours.
Level 7 diploma in Psychotherapy (4 years)
The next step is the opportunity to advance to level 7. We’re excited to announce this course is now running from September 2025 in Newcastle at Peel, with the ECPT.

Nicole Addis (MSc Integrative Psychotherapy)
FOUNDER & TRAINING LEAD
Nicole is an experienced supervisor, trainer and UKCP registered integrative psychotherapist, who has worked in both private and NHS settings since 2000. She set up Peel Psychological Consultancy, as a private counselling and psychotherapy service in 2012, the business in addition to continuing her private clinical practice, conducting research, and providing supervision and training. Most recently, she has taken over the position of lead trainer on the Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling at PEEL.

Lorna Evans (MSc in Body Awareness & Psychotherapy)
TRAINER
Founder of The Mind Movement Psychotherapist, Author & Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher, Lorna is an Integrative Psychotherapist holding an MSc in Body Awareness & Psychotherapy. Lorna proudly integrates psychotherapy and the body with a focus on Breath & Movement as healing tools for trauma, anxiety and depression. Lorna’s clinical work is grounded in the knowledge that mind and body.

Katy Scott (Integrative Psychotherapist)
TRAINER
Katy is an Integrative Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Group Facilitator. Prior to, and alongside her therapy work Katy previously worked in community-based settings, with adults with complex and enduring mental health difficulties. She has worked as a Therapist in the NHS, Mind, Relate, Universities and various other Voluntary Sector Agencies. Katy has a particular interest in working with relationship difficulties and domestic abuse issues.

Freya Bryson (UKCP registered Psychotherapist)
TRAINER
Freya is an LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent identifying UKCP registered psychotherapist based in the North East, with a particularly interested in supporting others within these communities and what it means to live the life we want authentically and well. Freya is particularly passionate about working with trauma, anxiety, identity-issues and those in crisis.

Kate Peters (Integrative Psychotherapist)
TRAINER
Kate is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Supervisor. She works for Tyneside and Northumberland Mind as the Clinical Lead for their Alternative to Crisis service, as well as running her own private practice. She works with a complex caseload and very varied presentations which gives her great insight into working with trauma, an area she is very passionate about.

Nicole Addis (MSc Int Psych) and the team at Peel Psychological Consultancy have been providing counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and groups, supervision and courses for mental health professionals, and consultancy to businesses for over two decades. Teaming up with ECPT to deliver the established 3-year Psychotherapeutic Counselling course and four year Psychotherapy course, has been a natural step for all involved.
